Residual Pulse, 1997 video installation with water tower, dripping water, close circuit video, antique phonograph. Dimenions variable.
Carriage House, Islip Art Museum, East Islip, NY
Among the seven site-specific installations, Peter Eudenbach's ''Residual Pulse'' stands out for its imaginative response to the carriage house. Adapting a defunct water tower to accommodate a reflecting pool seems appropriate, but the tower is not accessible to the public. The problem is solved by a closed-circuit television monitor that looks like a pool itself, evocatively mirroring the hidden installation and transmitting its gentle ''pulse'' of dripping water.
