| A three dimensional version of Dürer's polyhedron was made to incorporate the sky and horizon, both prominent features in Long Island City, especially at Socrates Park. The upper surface is a triangular pool of water that is constantly changing in color and texture. Since the pool has a glass bottom it is also a window to the sky, which is seen through the convex lens and mirror built into the piece. |
